Mata Gujri College, established in 1957, is a premier educational institute located in Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab. The college is affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala.

The UG programs offered by Mata Gujri College include B.A., B.Sc., BCA, BBA, B.Com. , B.Voc. and BJMC in various specialization.

The college also offers various PG programs in MCA, MBA, M.Sc., M.Com., M.A., PG Diploma and M.Phil. in various specialization.

For B.Sc., candidates should have passed 10+2 or any equivalent examination with minimum aggregate marks of 50% from any recognized board/university.
For B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture stream, admission will be done on the basis of an entrance exam.

Admission to all the UG courses is done on the basis of merit of 10+2 followed by an on-campus counselling round.
Candidates applying to M.Sc. courses should have a Bachelor’s degree in Science with at least 50% marks in the stream for which they are applying for.
For Admission to M.Com. , candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a BBA degree.
For admission in M.A., Master of Journalism and the various PG diplomas, a candidate should be a graduate in any discipline with at least 50% marks.
Admission to MBA and MCA is done for candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree in their various specializations from a recognized board/university.
Admission to M.Sc. Honours, M.Com. , MCA, M.Phil. and MBA is done on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test conducted by Punjabi University, Patiala.
Candidates who qualify the entrance exam are called for an on-campus counselling (interview for some courses).
There is an option of lateral entry in various courses.

Mata Gujri College M.A. and PG Diploma Admission 2023

The college offers two-year duration program in various courses in MA and PG Diploma.

For admission in M.A., Master of Journalism and PG Diploma, a candidate should be a graduate in any discipline with at least 50% marks.

Admissions are done on the basis of marks secured in Bachelor degree and previous qualifications. A separate merit list for each course is generated. Apply for PG Courses

Shortlisted candidates need to appear for the Offline Counselling cum Interview round held at the campus. Final admission is made on the basis of marks secured in previous degrees and performance in the interview round.

Mata Gujri College Application Process 2023

Candidates seeking admission to all the UG courses need to apply via offline mode. Admission to the PG courses (with entrance exam) is done via online mode through official website of Punjabi University.

Visit the official website of the college to download the application form available for all the courses.
Send the filled in application forms along with the required documents and a DD to the college.
For candidates applying to the courses with a written examination, an online account needs to be created at the Punjabi University Website.
The examination fees is different for all the courses and can be paid through online mode like Debit card and Net banking.
After appearing for the entrance exam, candidates need to fill the College Application form and send it to the college along with all the required documents.

College offers Sports Quota for candidates who have played at national and international level.
A relaxation of 5% in the minimum aggregate marks is given for all courses for reserved category candidates.
85% of the seats would be reserved for the candidates from the state of Punjab.
For the other 15% seats, the above-mentioned criteria will be followed.

Scholarship

Merit scholarship on the basis of marks secured in written examination is given by the college.
Departmental scholarship of INR 500 is given every month to the topper of the department.
Merit Scholarship under the National Merit Scholarship Schemes sponsored by the Centre and the State Governments is also given.
Loan Scholarships are available under the Government of India National Loan Scholarships Scheme.
Scholarships, Stipends and Fee concessions as acceptable from time to time under the State Harijan Welfare Scheme for students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Classes.
Merit Scholarships is awarded on the basis of result of examination conducted by the Punjabi University.
Stipends to Children/Grand Children of Freedom Fighters, ex. I.N.A. personnel and is sponsored by the Treasurer, Charitable Endowment, Punjab.
UGC Post-graduate Merit Scholarship will be awarded to University rank holders both in General and Honours Courses in undergraduate level.
