The DAV College Bathinda was established in the year 1969 is located in the Bathinda, Punjab. The college is affiliated to Punjab University, Patiala and is known to offer educational facilities in various streams ranging from Computer, Commerce, Humanities, Science and Management.

DAV college offers 18 courses across five streams which includes eight-degree courses and nine post-graduation courses, a post-graduate diploma in Computer Applications and few job-oriented advanced diplomas and certificate courses. The popular full-time courses include M.Sc. and B.Sc.

DAV College Bathinda UG Admission 2023

The college offers both under-graduate courses under various disciplines. The duration of the UG courses is three years. The college requires the passing certificate from a recognized board of education. Following are the eligibility criteria for each course:

The institute also offers admission to the Post Graduate courses under various specializations. While the duration for post-graduate courses is 2 years except for the diploma. PGDCA is a single year diploma course.

DAV Bathinda Selection Process

The selection process for any course is as follows:

  • Selection is done purely on the basis of merit.
  • Merit list is declared by the institute of the selected candidates.
  • The selected candidates are required to submit the documents and application form (with originals) for verifications.
  • The acceptance of the student is granted after ensuring the validity of the submitted documents.
  • Selected candidates are then required to pay the college fees in the stipulated time. In case of failure to do so the admission will be revoked.

  • Mahatma Anand Swami Shiksha Scholarship for parentless and fatherless students.
  • Shiv Chand Gupta Scholarship for needy students. The scholarship is provided on the basis of an interview.
  • Scholarship for needy and brilliant students by Nishkam Sikh Welfare Council, New Delhi. The scholarship is provided on the basis on a written test.
  • Guru Ravidass Educational Assistance Trust provides financial aid to students from poor communities.
  • Students belonging to the Minority Communities can apply for Scheme of Post-Matric Scholarship.
