Students are very depressed about this college is two thing one is festivals and cultural another one is tour and trips for students.library management is very good.classroom facility is good .I didn't about sports on this college

The range and accessibility of books and journals available in the library there more books that prefer to learn new things in the library they maintain clean and noise free in the library area. The facility of every class has smartclass that digital video telecast that students are reached to know about new things . An overview of sports and extracurricular activities offered on our campus are volleyball, football, basketball, tennis, and free surrounded grounds to play. There are more clubs that students are compulsory to attend the programs and event to develop their skills and society development.

Read Full ReviewBishop Heber College has two sections, i.e. aided and self-finance. The faculties for the aided section are pretty good compared to the self-finance section. The faculties from the self-finance section lack experience. The infrastructure of the college is decent. K.A.P Vishwanathan Block is for arts and science department. Bishop Solomon doraiswamy block is for computer science students and other departments. It has a good library with large stock of books as well as a book bank.
There are four hostels for boys and girls each. Food provided is average at best. 8 people are allotted to each room.
You won’t find a decent wi-fi connection on campus. Use of mobile phones is prohibited though many use it secretly.
Bishop Heber College has 6 girls’ hostels. Four of the hostels are inside the college campus. Two of the hostels are reserved for PG students. First-year UG students are mostly allocated to BSD or MA hostels. 6 students are allocated to each room. Mobiles phones are prohibited inside the campus. But students use it secretly. You can only use laptops with the permission of the principal.
The hostel rooms don’t have any attached restrooms. You will have to clear your rooms as well as the restrooms.
Food offered at the mess is average at best. There is no shop or canteen on campus. Students are only allowed to go out on Sundays for four hours.
Yes, using mobile in the hostel is prohibited at Bishop Heber College. But most students use it secretly. The wardens of boys hostel don’t really mind is students are using mobiles. Rules in girl's hostels are comparably strict.
If you get caught using mobile, you will have to pay a fine of INR 1,000 and write an apology letter. If you have written 3 apology letters, you will have to leave the hostel.
For undergraduate courses, it's better to get your application form before your +2 results. Because by the time result is out, most of the seats in the aided section will be filled. So, as soon as your result is declared go to the respective department admission team and submit your application. If you are eligible, you will get admission.
For postgraduation courses, admission starts around June. So, after your final semester, check the admission date in the respective departments.
There is no such cutoff for B.Sc Actuarial Science in Bishop Heber College. If you are from the Tamil Nadu State Board and have decent marks, you should get admission. But try to submit your application on the day of your 12th results. The aided seats get filled first. Most students that apply on result day get admission except for a few cases.
The placement at Bishop Heber College is average at best. At the beginning of your final year, there will be an orientation program on what is next. They will give you a choice whether to go for higher studies or placements. Companies like TCS, Infosys, CTS etc. come for placements. The placement training division trains students for each company interview based on the specific requirements. To appear for the placement drive, you need to have at least 75% marks. You are not allowed to participate further if you get selected in 2 companies.
I have a few friends who graduated from Bishop Heber College. Besides academics, this college teaches you about all aspects of life. During your college days at Bishop Heber, you will get to learn about responsibilities along with freedom. It also gives you opportunities to explore your hidden talents and hobbies.
