How is Bishop Heber College?

● Top Answer By Krishna Roy on 28 Jan 22

Ans
Bishop Heber College has two sections, i.e. aided and self-finance. The faculties for the aided section are pretty good compared to the self-finance section. The faculties from the self-finance section lack experience. The infrastructure of the college is decent. K.A.P Vishwanathan Block is for arts and science department. Bishop Solomon doraiswamy block is for computer science students and other departments. It has a good library with large stock of books as well as a book bank.  There are four hostels for boys and girls each. Food provided is average at best. 8 people are allotted to each room. You won’t find a decent wi-fi connection on campus. Use of mobile phones is prohibited though many use it secretly.

Yes, using mobile in the hostel is prohibited at Bishop Heber College. But most students use it secretly. The wardens of boys hostel don’t really mind is students are using mobiles. Rules in girl's hostels are comparably strict.  If you get caught using mobile, you will have to pay a fine of INR 1,000 and write an apology letter. If you have written 3 apology letters, you will have to leave the hostel.

What is the procedure to take admission in Bishop Heber College, Trichy?

● Top Answer By Nasrin Parveen on 28 Jan 22

Ans
For undergraduate courses, it's better to get your application form before your +2 results. Because by the time result is out, most of the seats in the aided section will be filled. So, as soon as your result is declared go to the respective department admission team and submit your application. If you are eligible, you will get admission.  For postgraduation courses, admission starts around June. So, after your final semester, check the admission date in the respective departments.

The placement at Bishop Heber College is average at best. At the beginning of your final year, there will be an orientation program on what is next. They will give you a choice whether to go for higher studies or placements. Companies like TCS, Infosys, CTS etc. come for placements.
