Bishop Cotton Womens Christian Law College (BCWCLC), Bangalore was started as a Junior College in 1985 and it was upgraded as a first grade college in 1987. In 2002 it was upgraded to law college. It is affiliated to Karnataka State Law University. It is approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The college is managed by the Board of Management of Karnataka Central Diocese of Church of South India. It got recognized by UGC under section 2f in the year 1995 and 12b in 2000. The college offers value based education to women to helps them in better character building, academic excellence to help face the competitive world with high spirit. The motto of the college is “Nec Dextrorsum, Nec Sinistrorsum”. These Latin words mean “neither to the right, nor to the left” which comes from the old Testament of the Bible.
