Baselius College, Kottayam was established in 1964. The college was accredited by NAAC with B++ level. The college stands for academic excellence, development of skill and character so as to produce intellectually matured, morally upright, socially committed and spiritually inspired men and women. The aim of the college is to develop the potentials of the youth and providing them with spiritual, intellectual and physical values.

Activities:
- National Cadet Corps- National Cadet Corps, the biggest youth organisation is functioning under the Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India. It inculcates discipline and sense of unity and patriotism in youth and trains in defence preparedness
- National Service Scheme- To promote respect for labour, discipline, Gandhian principles, national integration and work culture, we have at present 3 NSS units in our college
Clubs:
- Mens Forum- In order to promote fruitful co-operation among the male members of the faculty and the student community of Baselius College, a Men's Forum has been introduced. This forum plans beneficial activities for men through seminars, discussions etc. in which issues and problems faced by men can be widely addressed
- Womens Forum- It organizes discussions, seminars and awareness programmes, focusing mainly on women's issues and needs in tune with the times
- Blood Donors Club- The members continue the work of the good Samaritan by donating blood and they save precious human lives and keep the dignity of the human race
