Alpha Arts and Science College (AASC) is run by the Alpha Educational Society which is a non-profit educational body registered under the Societies Registration Act, of 1860. AASC is a Christian Minority institution established in the year 1996. It is a private, unaided, co-educational arts and science institution approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu with Permanent Affiliation to the University of Madras with 2f status for Research Grants. AASC is ISO 9001:2015 Certified and Re-Accredited by NAAC. AASC attempts to create a benchmark for educational excellence by incorporating new initiatives through its innovative learning methodologies. The College has well-qualified and experienced faculty who take up the responsibility of providing support and guidance to students in all their endeavors. Alpha Arts and Science College has strong Industry- Institute interaction in place for training, research, project execution, and internships. AASC has also established a rigorous framework of MoUs, Student Exchange Programs, Certificate Programs [BEC], Internships, Collaborative ventures, Placement Training, and Placement Drives [on and off campus] to enrich the academic experience of students. The Research and Development Cell (R&D), ED Cell – Entrepreneurship Development Cell, ENACTUS, CSI (Computer Society of India), ICT Academy, and CII-Yi - endorsed and recommended by NITI Aayog work towards empowering students to build strong careers or business for themselves in the future. The Training and Placement Cell of the College ensures students receive the best job placements even during the final year of college. The College is located in Porur, South-West Chennai near the Porur Lake. The surroundings of the College offer an ideal atmosphere for students to engage in studies, sports, and cultural activities.
