• The curriculum is taught by former police officers with extensive investigative experience.
  • Students will gain practical, in-field experience via volunteer opportunities with local service agencies.
  • They will have hands-on experiential learning via the Justice Studies Simulation Lab.
  • Students who successfully complete the first year and the First Aid course are eligible to write the Ontario Security Guard licensing exam.
  • As a graduate of the Protection, Security, and Investigation (Customs Border Services) program, students will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a good eye for detail, the ability to correctly apply various legislative instruments while targeting and investigating potential illegal activity at Canada’s Ports of Entry, in Canada and outside the country.
