Conserve and manage a critical habitat for an endangered species. Restore a wetland. Both are examples of how students will make a difference as a conservation and restoration ecology (CARE) major graduate. Ecosystems are at the heart of CARE. Students start by learning about plants, animals, water and soils. Move on to what lives, eats and grows in a particular ecosystem. Then, students will be able to use best practices and land management techniques to renew and restore anything from grasslands to a forest.
