English Language Proficiency for International Applicants
International applicants from non-native English speaking countries and those who have not received a degree from an institute where the primary language is English need to prove their proficiency in English. International applicants that do not have the minimum score requirements are may study at ILAC or ILSC language partner schools for fulfilling the admission requirements.
Student Permit for International Students
- The selected applicants will be sent an offer of admission. In order to accept the offer, the students will be required to pay the tuition deposit as indicated in the offer letter.
- The next step is to apply for a student permit from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
- Documents required to apply for the student permit:
- Offer letter from the college.
- Passport.
- Proof of financial support.
- Visa processing fee.
- Students will be required to submit the proof of their study permit approval before the deadline mentioned in the offer letter. Failing to do so might lead to deferring of the students to the next available start date.
Temporary Visa Permit: The requirements for a temporary residence visa are as follows:
- Valid passport
- Specified application fee (billed in CND)
- The offer of admission received from Lakehead University.

The two programs offered by the college are Business and Project Management Post-Degree Diploma and Canadian Business Management Post-Degree Diploma. Each course has specific admission requirements. If there are seats available in the specific course an applicant has applied for, the admissions are offered. However, if seats are not available, a waitlist is available. Waitlist applicants are not given an update until seats are available and the application is accepted. The application processing time is around 6-8 weeks.
