Materials Engineering Technology is a 2-year program delivered over semesters of 15 weeks each. Upon completion of the second semester, students will also receive two weeks of machine shop and welding skills. Through laboratory work and lectures, students learn about the properties and behaviour of engineering materials. Skills are developed in: non-destructive and destructive testing, welding metallurgy and processes, metallography, corrosion testing and control techniques, metals analysis, and heat treating and processing.
