• Diploma in Chemical Engineering Technology - Lab and Process Control degree at the Cambrian College is offered a 3-year (7 semesters) program.

  • This program is the only one of its kind in Ontario and is designed to develop the skill sets that will need to work in any of these exciting fields.
  • It couples fundamental theory with the necessary hands-on, practical laboratory training required for employment in various chemical industries and environmental sectors. 
  • In this course, students will work independently and in groups to build the self-directed study, and teamwork skills will need within various workplace settings.
  • There are some highlights of this program are:
    • 2 paid co-ops
    • the only lab and process control program in the province that focuses on the mineral processing and water/wastewater areas of study
    • quality control practices embedded throughout the program
    • master report writing techniques that meet the standards set by the Canadian Council of Technicians and Technologists
  • Each year, the college offers a variety of opportunities for students to work across disciplines in exciting community and College endeavors.  
  • The teacher to student ratio is 1:17 which helps increase interaction between professors and students.
  • Students can get opportunities for experiential learning through clubs and competitions.
