• MA in Sociology at the University of Victoria is offered as a 2-years program by the Department of Sociology.

  • The programs leading to the Master of Arts degree in Sociology, while containing a core of theory and method, are designed to provide flexibility for students as well as to reflect the diversity which characterizes the discipline. 
  • Students will engage in coursework that will give them a foundation in sociology research.
  • Graduate studies in Sociology are designed to provide students with a solid grounding in research methods and theory as well as the ability to specialize in different areas of study.
  • The MA program consists of a minimum of 15 units.
