• MSc in Environmental Studies at the University of Victoria is offered as a 2-years program by the School of Environmental Studies. 
  • The University of Victoria also ranked 2nd in Maclean’s top Canadian Comprehensive Universities 2019.
  • The School of Environmental Studies has three core interdisciplinary research areas in Ecological Restoration, Ethnoecology, and Political Ecology.
  • Students will have access to a variety of research facilities across campus such as our Ethnoecology, Restoration and Conservation Ecology, and Visualization labs.
  • UVic’s location on southern Vancouver Island provides students with easy access to marine and alpine ecosystems, freshwater wetlands, rivers, lakes and the temperate rainforest.
  • The graduate program is primarily research-based and the final outcome of the program is the presentation and defense of a thesis.
  •  All students are required to attend a 3-day field camp at the beginning of their program.
  • The MSc program consists of a minimum of 18 units.
