The University of Guelph offers MSc in Food Science for a duration of 2 years (4 terms).
This course is offered on a full-time basis.
This program provides state-of-the-art knowledge translation focused on developing sustainable, safe, and innovative foods aimed at improving human health.
The research done in Food Science focuses on interdisciplinary studies spanning chemistry, biology, microbiology, nutritional science.
The objective of this program is to provide graduates with general scientific knowledge as well as a more in-depth understanding of particular aspects of food science. This objective is accomplished through coursework and departmental research seminars.
Extensive laboratory and technical training are obtained by performing experiments under the supervision of a professor and advisory committee.

Academic Eligibility:

Applicants must have completed a four-year honours undergraduate science degree (or its equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
Applicant must have achieved a B (75%) average or higher during the last two years of full-time study.
Proof of English proficiency may be required for international applicants, whose first language is not English.
Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL to get admission in this program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Completed a master’s degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
