The research program pursues a twofold objective: to offer courses in order to provide a complement to the general training provided at the undergraduate level; develop, by writing a dissertation, the ability to design and complete a medium-scale research project in a specific field.
Research development and dissertation writing are an important component of the program.
The student is called upon to work closely with a professor who directs his research program: it is the student who chooses his director from among the specialists in the field.

To be eligible as a regular student at the LL. M. (right) - with memory, the candidate must:

meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the pedagogical regulations for graduate and postdoctoral studies
hold a law degree from the University of Montreal or a diploma deemed equivalent
obtaining, at 1 ^st cycle, Firmware or Master, an average of at least 3.0 to 4.3 or equivalent. Applicants whose average is between 3.0 and 3.3 or the equivalent must provide additional documents, the list of which is given below.
demonstrate sufficient knowledge of French and English.
