The program is structured around two main objectives: to perfect the students' general education both through the acquisition of disciplinary knowledge and through the learning of theoretical and methodological tools, while opening up other disciplines; train the practice of the historian's profession and prepare the graduates to work in various spheres of professional activities that benefit from the application of the historical method.

The production of research work from first-hand sources must be the culmination of the general education of the student enrolled in the specialized baccalaureate. The student is thus prepared to undertake a master's degree in history.
