Psychologists study the brain, behavior, and mental processes. If students have ever wondered why people act the way they do, or how students might help people change their thoughts and behaviors for the better, psychology is an ideal field of study for students. At Acadia, we want to teach you how to answer student’s own questions about human behavior and not just what others have learned about psychology. Students will have the opportunity to do hands-on psychological research early in their studies. Class limits of 25 for laboratory courses and 20 for upper-year seminar courses allow students to consider issues in-depth, in a small group atmosphere. Our intimate program size allows students to get to know faculty members and fellow students well, and for them to get to know students.
