• Concordia University offers a BEng in Electrical Engineering program with a duration of 4 years (8 semesters).
  • This course is offered on a full-time basis and part-time studies are not available for this program.
  • This program is provided both on-campus and off-campus.
  • Electrical engineers build electrical and electronic devices and systems that people depend on every day whether they are very small (like the microchips in cell phones) or very large (like the power grids or charging stations for electric cars).
  • The state-of-the-art labs for digital electronics, electric power systems, microfabrication, circuits, and digital communications will give an experience with the tools used in the field.
    • Through labs, lectures, and projects, one also:
    • Design circuits and electronics systems
    • Study, design and fabricate microdevices
    • Design communications systems (protocols, antennas, channel modulation, networks)
    • Design power electronics for renewable energy and electric transportation
    • Learn signal processing techniques for analysis of biomedical signals
    • Design control systems for airplanes and other vehicles
  •  In this co-op program, students work and get real-world experience in the microelectronics, telecommunications, and power industries.
  • The co-op program gives the chance to complete paid work terms that last 12 to 16 weeks.
  • All of the engineering programs are accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board and students will graduate eligible to become a registered professional engineer.
  • The faculty and student ratio for this program is 1:16.
  • The average salary goes up to 54,000 USD after completing this program.
