• Master in Data Science at Monash University is offered as a 1.5 and 2-year program.
  • The student can select any one of the following:
    • 2 years full-time –  4 years part-time (96 points to complete)
    • 1.5 years full-time – 3 years part-time (72 points to complete)
  • The student can select data science electives such as machine learning, learning from semi-structured data like text, and big data handling.
  • The course electives allow the student to build deeper skills in data analytics and machine learning.
  • The students will be learning Python and R (for data analysis), Hadoop and Spark (for distributed processing), Machine Learning(Predictions, Classifications, Reinforcement Learning).
  • In your final semester, the student will take part in an Industry Experience team project, working with industry mentors to develop data-driven IT solutions.
  • The student will undertake a minor-thesis research project, investigating cutting-edge problems under the supervision of internationally recognized researchers.
