• The Master of Business Information Systems (MBIS) prepares students for careers in systems design, planning and management, as well as knowledge and information management.
  • Student gain the expertise to design solutions to business information problems, and to offer strategic guidance to organisations that will enhance their management and governance.
  • As an MBIS graduate, student may find work as a business analyst, systems analyst, consultant, project leader, IT manager, information management specialist, archivist or librarian.
  • The MBIS caters to students from a variety of backgrounds. If student do not have previous training in IT, the course includes preparatory units that will give student the IT knowledge needed for the remainder of the course. However, if student already have a degree in IT, student can accelerate students study with an exemption from these preparatory units, or perhaps study further elective units in areas of students choice.
  • The course gives student an opportunity to explore a wide range of areas, from enterprise systems, information systems design, and business intelligence to IT strategy and project management.
  • If students interests lie in information and knowledge management, student can pursue a specialisation in Archives and Recordkeeping or Librarianship and Information Science, accredited by professional organisations.
