  • A PhD in IT takes the form of the Monash Doctoral Program a PhD for the 21st century. The program consists of extensive, independent research on an agreed chosen topic, supported by a minimum of two academic supervisors. This is enhanced by professional development activities that provide student with the skills required to make an impact in academia, industry, government or the wider community.
  • Students study will result in a research thesis or alternative approved output, which makes a valuable contribution to the current body of knowledge on students chosen topic. The award of the degree is generally accepted as showing student are capable of carrying out independent research.
