Master of Arts in Economics is a 2-year program offered by Eastern Michigan University.
It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
This program provides a basic understanding of the theoretical foundations and analytical tools that students need to be successful researchers, business leaders, economic consultants, and government policy analysts.
The program exposes students to various areas of economic study through coursework, independent study, and research.

Academic Eligibility:

Students should have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
Students must have a background in intermediate macroeconomics (ECON 411), intermediate microeconomics (ECON 412), economic statistics (ECON 310), and calculus (MATH 119 or MATH 120) or equivalents with grades of at least B- in each.
A minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale, or 3.0 in the last half of the undergraduate program, is required.
Submission of Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) general test scores required for all applicants.
Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Students must complete a 4-year undergraduate degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
Students need to have a minimum of first-class or upper Second with a minimum of 60% on an institutional basis.

Personal Statement – A personal statement of 1-2 pages explaining the purpose for pursuing the MSc degree at EMU
Official Transcript – Submit official transcripts with both original and English translations of all university courses in which they have been enrolled.
Two Letter of Recommendation - This shows who recommended the student to pursue the degree.
Proof of Financial Support – Students have to submit the proof to determine that they have sufficient financial resources to cover their expenses while in the USA.
Passport Copy – Provide a scanned copy of both sides that is legible and clearly shows their picture.
English Language Requirement - This shows the test score of English Proficiency Exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE, etc.
