• The Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering is a four-year ABET-accredited program that includes a capstone design project in the 4th year.
  • Building upon WPI’s strength in Mathematics and Basic Science, the program delivers a broad foundation in Engineering Sciences related to the built environment.
  • Building upon WPI’s unique strengths in project-based education, Humanities, and Social Sciences, the program prepares its graduates to become responsible leaders within the field of sustainable building design.
  • As students work to earn a degree in Architectural Engineering at WPI, they will focus on developing technical skills in four core areas: structural systems, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and construction/construction management.
  • In addition to general courses for architectural engineering, students may focus their design proficiency in either the structural or mechanical area with electives like Design of Steel Structures, Pre-stressed Concrete Design, and Building Energy Simulation.
