Students at Baylor University can pursue either a BS or BA in Physics. The Bachelor of Science in Physics prepares students for graduate studies or careers in technology, medicine, education and law. It also prepares graduates for careers in finance, industry, and other professions.
Within the BS degree, students have the option to select a concentration. Concentrations include Computational Physics or Pre-Health Care (but a concentration is not required). The Computational Physics Concentration emphasizes interdisciplinary coursework in physics and computer science. It is geared toward students with an interest in computational physics. The Pre-Health Care Concentration is for students with an interest in medicine, dentistry, or other health related professions. It satisfies the medical/dental pre-professional program requirements.
The Bachelor of Arts in Physics provides a traditional liberal arts education with a solid set of core courses in physics. Physics is also offered as a secondary major or minor for students who are pursuing a different field of study.
