Baylor’s undergraduate scholarly publication, The Pulse, promotes academic writing among students. Students with exceptional writing and research skills can have their work featured.  This can be for their classes or for their Honors or University Scholars thesis. The Pulse also provides opportunities for students to gain experience in the publication process.

The History Department offers a wide variety of courses, thoroughly covering every major geographic area in the world as well as every major time period. There are several introductory level courses which will give students the necessary background to delve immediately into the more in-depth upper-level courses.

Majoring the History program offered by Baylor University opens up an array of possible careers for students after graduation because the study of history provides a critical knowledge of the institutions and values of the world in which we live. Moreover, an understanding of the past can influence one's ability to respond intelligently and effectively to the problems of the future.
