Environmental health professionals are best known for their efforts to ensure safe water, food and air quality and sanitary conditions.

Graduates go on to assess air and water quality, assess noise pollution and serve as first responders in the event of emergencies.  Others work in the corporate world in health safety communications or informatics.  Some work with government or non-profit organizations in areas such as bioterrorism. Many also continue their education in graduate, law or medical school.

The Environmental Health Science program is offered by Baylor University.
