The Bioinformatics program offered by Baylor University is essentially a double major in biology and computer science with a minor in chemistry. 

Because of the broad-reaching nature of the program, students majoring in this area can expect any number of career opportunities after completing the degree, including database design, library science, data warehousing, forensics, anthropology and agriculture. Students also commonly continue their education in medicine, pharmacological studies and computer science.
