The visual arts curriculum includes art history and studio courses in?ceramics, graphic design, drawing, painting, photography, printmaking,sculpture & two-and three-dimensional design. The Art Departmentoffers both a major and minor in art and graphic design. Students?receiving the B.A. in Visual Arts Education are eligible to apply for a?Michigan teaching license in visual arts education, and to pursue?teaching positions in K-12 education.

SVSU offers small class sizes, with currently over 300 majors, and?150 minors, and a teaching staff of 10 full time and 16 adjunct?faculty.
