The CTD major builds professionals for the ever-changing world of media production. Blending theoretical, technical, and creative aspects, students solidify their learning with hands-on practical experience.?Students who complete the CTD major are equipped with a broad set of skills allowing them to enter the workforce in a wide variety of areas, such as Film, Television, Video Production, Audio, Church Media, and Interactive Media.?During the first two years, the focus is on the foundational courses in media, communication theory, and liberal arts.

As juniors, CTD students enter the MultiMedia Institute (MMI) for a year of intense training requiring a commitment of forty (40) hours a week, Monday through Friday - 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and some weekends! In addition to advanced media classes, and immersing themselves in media projects, students gain insights from guest presenters, practicums, workshops, and field trips. A combination of academia and out of the classroom work turns these students into media professionals.

The final year includes a Senior Project, an internship, and a capstone course that includes students across several majors to develop, create, and deliver a marketing campaign to a real world client. Select students may choose to attend the Los Angeles Film Studies Center (a program by the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities) for a semester to further their film technique studies and to intern with a company in L.A.
