Students are admitted into Pre-Business and will apply to Business Administration major through a competitive and selective process to gain admission.The general business administration program provides a broad knowledge of the principal areas of business -- graduates become generalists rather than specialists. Students gain background in at least five of seven fields -- accounting, economics, finance, management and policy, management information systems, marketing, and public administration.
The knowledge of the general areas of business—accounting, economics, finance, management and policy, management information systems, marketing, and public administration—gained from a major in Business Administration forms a solid foundation for a variety of business careers. Graduates may work in management, communications, planning, analysis, or investment, and are well prepared to further specialize through graduate studies in business administration, economics, or public policy.
