University of Toledo offers a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre as well as two minors programs. The BA in Theatre is offered through the University of Toledo Department of Theatre and Film, which is housed in the College of Communication and the Arts. Our faculty are wonderful teachers, but they are also accomplished working professionals in their own right. In the University of Toledo Department of Theatre and Film you will also have many opportunities to develop your craft outside the classroom. The department produces 3-4 plays per year in which theatre students are encouraged and expected to participate, either onstage or behind the scenes. Many of our students and productions have also competed successfully in the annual Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (Region II), winning awards for acting, directing, costume design, set design and more.
