• Master of Science in Sociology is a 2 years program offered on a full-time basis.
  • The Department of Sociology offers graduate degree programs leading to the Master of Science (MS) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees. 
  • The primary objective of the program is to enable students in the graduate programs to become scholars who are able to conduct high-quality, innovative research.
  • It will provide the education and training that will serve as a basis for independent or collaborative research, depending on the individual graduate’s professional goals. 
  • Students must complete 34 semester hours in the program.
  • To receive a MS degree in sociology (traditional option only), students must successfully complete a master’s research paper.
