They encourage them to study foreign languages, archaeology, studio art, and other related disciplines during their years here. Moreover, we have many students who pursue double majors with fields of Art and Architecture, or even dual degrees. Our program has a gloabal reach, and students are encouraged to travel abroad in one of many programs the department offers. In recent years, our undergraduates have had opportunities to travel abroad with our faculty for courses in the Freshman FOCUS program to locations that include the Netherlands, Turkey, and Italy.
After graduation, our students go on to distinguished programs in Art History, Archaeology and Visual Culture. Some go on to positions in galleries, museums and foundations, while others go on to professional school in law or medicine. In recent years many have decided to take several years in service, such as in the Teach for America program, AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, and others. They are a talented and diverse group.
