- Students, who aspire to develop their skills as an actor, singer, and dancer and have a dream of performing on the professional stage, this Missouri State's musical theatre program will help them reach their goals. Students learn from professional faculty in state-of-the-art facilities. They participate in four musical theatre productions annually. Students are also able to gain direct association with a celebrated annual equity summer theatre series, Tent Theatre. They can also join a New York City or Los Angeles Senior Showcase to highlight their talents. Students learn with confidence, thanks to MSU’s accreditation with both the National Association of Schools of Theatre and the National Association of Schools of Music.

The classroom training and performance opportunities students will have as a musical theatre major at Missouri State will lead to a variety of career options. MSU’s graduates have appeared in national touring productions of well-known musicals and have graced stages the world over. Student’s broad range of training and depth of knowledge will set them apart from the competition.
In addition to the University's admission requirements, students are required to audition for acceptance to the BFA in Musical Theatre program prior to the first semester of course work in the major.
