• Students who choose to do Journalism have the opportunity to:
    • Do real reporting: Go hands-on, early in their college career. Get published at The Standard or go on-air at Ozarks News Brief.
    • Build their clips and win awards: Have a body of work that highlights student’s best reporting and impresses potential employers. Showcase their content and win awards at competitions.
    • Receive effective feedback: Small class sizes help students build close relationships with the people who teach them.
    • Be a multimedia journalist: Learn the best strategies for print, broadcast, and digital reporting. Work for newspapers, TV stations, or online news organizations.

    • Students will be able to analyze and critique a variety of media products, case studies, and issues.
