The concentration in Recording Technology is designed to offer music majors enhanced career opportunities in the music recording, production and entertainment industries. Students taking this concentration receive intensive, hands-on instruction and experience utilizing state-of-the-art hardware and software. Instruction in analogue and digital routing, mixing, signal processing, sound design provide skills necessary to compete in the ever-changing field of music production. Composition and music literacy with an emphasis on performance is an important aspect of this program. Students learn to use software, hardware and instruments to apply their knowledge to sound for video and film, creative recording projects, and live performance techniques.?
