Our students develop skills in research, data analysis and clear and effective communication, preparing them to live in a complex, culturally diverse world. The Department of Anthropology's core curriculum provides an overview to the discipline as well as courses in cultural anthropology, archaeology, and physical anthropology. There are many opportunities for students to engage in research and service projects, and our faculty are scholars who bring their research into the classroom to enhance learning. We offer a BA in anthropology, an MA in applied anthropology and a BA in behavioral science in cooperation with the Departments of Psychology and Sociology. Our graduates pursue careers in a wide range of professions, including law, medicine, business, social work, and health care.
