UTSA students have access to extensive library resources, local and regional museums and galleries, and a flourishing contemporary arts scene.? Students regularly pursue internships and take advantage of travel programs and opportunities to study abroad.?

UTSA?s two exhibition spaces, The UTSA Art Gallery located at the 1604 Campus and our newer Terminal 136 located in downtown San Antonio are dedicated to a wide variety of programs serving undergraduate and graduate students as well as the San Antonio community.

Our faculty, graduate students and alumni continue to greatly impact the Texas and the national art community, through exhibitions, publications and curatorial projects.Along with Art Pace, the Blue Star Contemporary Art Museum, the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center, Sala Diaz, the San Antonio Museum of Art, the Southwest School of Art, and the McNay Art Museum, the Department of Art and Art History at UTSA is one of the major art institutions serving South Texas.
