Students develop these skills within the context of various program areas such as counseling psychology, school psychology, and learning sciences.

Learning Outcomes:

  • A broad understanding of the science of psychology and its application to specific educational and psychological problems (the exact problems vary by program)
  • An understanding of the nature of the student's particular program, including how knowledge is created in that program area and how practice is conducted in that program area
  • The ability to conduct supervised research, as demonstrated by the successful completion and defense of the master’s thesis.
