The Ph.D. program in the Department of Special Education prepares doctoral candidates for faculty positions in higher education with specializations in Early Childhood Special Education, Mild to Moderate Disabilities, Severe Disabilities, VisualImpairments, Deafblind, and Applied Behavior Analysis/Positive Behavioral Support(including BCBA). The Ph.D. program of study focuses on preparing persons to design and conduct scientific research in special education, effectively prepare special education teacher candidates, and provide service to the profession and community.
