Graduate level Elementary licensure programs are available in conjunction with Master's of Education degrees through either Educational Psychology or Special Education. These programs are designed for students who have already earned a bachelor's degree and wish to earn both an Elementary teaching license and a master's degree at the same time.
Upon successful completion of the program and the Praxis II Elementary Education Content Knowledge Exam, graduates are recommended to the Utah State Office of Education through the Urban Institute for Teacher Education to receive their K-6 Utah Level I Teaching License. Students have the option of also earning their ESL Endorsement by completing a few additional courses and the Praxis II English to Speakers of Other Languages Exam.
