Two electrical engineering tracks are available at SLU: a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering, and a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering with an emphasis in bioelectronics, which is often chosen by students who plan to attend medical school.
Throughout SLU’s electronic engineering program, your classroom experience will be enhanced with hands-on lab experience as well as small, group-driven projects.
Unlike other universities, at SLU our students begin conducting electrical experiments in Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology’s laboratory facilities during their freshman year.
The program also includes a two-semester design sequence in your senior year that offers you major engineering design experience with a focus on professional practice. Independent study on an electrical engineering topic can also be arranged under the direction of a faculty member.
