As the only accredited Catholic, Jesuit school of public health in the nation, SLU?s College for Public Health and Social Justice is committed to social justice and the Jesuit mission. Our graduate-level public health classes are taught by faculty who are internationally recognized as leaders in public health research and practice, and have diverse research interests.

Our students pass the Certified Public Health exam at higher rates than the national average. In 2017, 91 percent of our student passed the exam on the first try and 100 percent passed on the second attempt, as compared to the national average of 75 to 85 percent.

This program requires 36 to 39 credit hours. Students complete a research project incorporating the principles of their chosen concentration that results in a manuscript of publishable quality.
