The nurse education curriculum requires students to complete 15 semester hours of core content, 15 semester credit hours in Nurse Education specialty courses, 9 semester hours of clinical practice core courses and 6 semester hours of either a thesis or non-thesis option. Two practicum courses are required: classroom and clinical instruction (120 contact hours each) for a total of 240 hours. This course of study prepares nurses to take the National League for Nursing Certified Nurse Education Examination.
