The curriculum is designed to provide an understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of social systems and processes as well as the historical, social, and economic basis of social institutions. In addition to social theory and social research, students may choose courses in criminology, family, substance abuse, deviant behavior, social psychology, role of media, social problems, etc. which enables students to analyze, critically evaluate, and engage in the planning of solutions to problems that evolve from patterns of human social interaction.
