Select General Education Objective courses that support the cognitive knowledge and skill requirements of an elementary teacher, including a study of the state?s history.Have subject matter knowledge in social science, language arts, science, mathematics, or language. He/she must utilize this knowledge in specific applications and assessments within the educational methods curriculum.Be aware of the theories related to cognitive and physical child development, classroom management and motivation, lesson planning, instructional delivery, technology classroom integration and assessment.Participate in diverse early and extended field experiences, where their lesson planning, instructional delivery, and assessment can be externally evaluated.
