Objectives

Graduates will master literature in one substantive area of sociology.

Graduates will develop an understanding of sociological theories, related findings, research design and statistics.

Graduates will further their professional careers by either continuing education at the doctoral level or finding employment in public service utilizing their advanced degree.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Requirements:

Applicants must hold a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
Submit official transcripts of all previous education
Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0
If GPA is less than 3.0 then scores of GRE (minimum 40^th percentile in Verbal) and MAT (45^th percentile) is required
Submit English Language Proficiency scores

English Langauge Proficiency:

TOEFL: minimum 80 (minimum 20 in all subscores) in iBT; minimum 550 in PBT; minimum 213 in CBT
IELTS: minimum 6.5 overall
