The MS-ISM program is a 30-credit, full-time program of study. The program appeals to a range of potential students, including technical professionals who are looking to restart or retool their careers, professionals who are seeking a relevant management credential, non-technical or non-business professionals who are seeking to enter the information systems field. The MS-ISM program has received STEM designation.

Duquesne's MS-ISM curriculum focuses on how the management of information technologies can create organizational value. The program has an intentional emphasis on safe guarding organizational assets, relationships that exist within an organization's data, and safeguarding this valuable data through IS audit, control, and risk management in developmental and operational environments. The program stresses the impact of IS architectural decisions on an organization and its stakeholders, both over time and across organizational boundaries. Graduates are prepared to understand and manage the critical impact of technology decisions on the achievement of business goals.
