• Majors in Russian must complete ten courses (thirty credit hours) beyond Russian 2000 and above. 
  • Intermediate Russian I, including at least six courses taught by departmental faculty. Intermediate Russian II and Advanced Russian I and II are required courses.
  • However participants in an approved semester-long program in Russia are automatically exempt from the language course that is offered concurrently with their semester abroad. In addition, students are required to take four three-credit literature or culture courses offered by the Department at the 30000 level or above, including at least one course each at the 30000 and 40000 levels.
  • With the permission of the Director of Undergraduate Studies, one course on a Russian subject taught in another department, such as Anthropology, History, Political Science, or Theology, may be counted toward the Russian major.
